Finding Cochino
George “El Cochino” Magee was the adult film industry’s brightest star until he fell in love with Indian starlette Nicky on the set of his finest film: The Savage Garden. After production wrapped Nicky returned to her home in India and, in a fit of depression, Magee lost control of his world famous manhood. Trivia
· During the scene outside when Nicky leaves El Cochino, the boom microphone can clearly be seen.
· During the “One True Friend” musical sequence, when Ron Muff appears eating a banana through a window, the camera operator can be seen in the reflection.
· On the wide shots of Lola Molina being interviewed, the shoulder of a crew member can be seen in the background.
· The scene on the set of an adult film where actors are dressed in pig costumes, each take kept getting so progressively raunchier that the director had to tone down the language. The last take was used with only a few major expletives.
· In the alley scene, loitering crew members can be seen briefly behind Eddie Annabel in the beginning, then magically disappear as the scene progresses.
· As Krasdacab talks about activities with Mice the cinematographer nearly ruins the take as he begins to laugh at the hilarious dialogue, as evidenced by the inopportune gasping sound heard during the end credit monologue. Later, the actor portraying Krasdacab can be seen breaking character himself just before quickly recovering.
· The song “One True Friend” was eventually expanded and re-recorded into a full-length song by the original composers. They’re still trying to get it into iTunes.
